In 2010, a fall from a hammock sparked the beginning of something much greater.

Greg McEvilly’s first experience hammock camping ended abruptly with a rip, a fall to the ground, and a restless night under the stars. But instead of turning away from the experience, Greg saw an opportunity: the outdoor market lacked the kind of durable, reliable hammocks that adventurers needed. There was room for something better—something stronger, more comfortable, and made for real wilderness living.

A natural leader with a passion for community and the outdoors, Greg founded Kammok with a clear mission: to design gear that inspires and equips life-changing experiences outside. The first creation, the Roo Double hammock, set a new standard—lighter, tougher, and more dependable than anything else out there.

Today, Kammok builds technical, high-performance gear designed to thrive from basecamp to backcountry. More than just products, Kammok represents a vision: a platform to inspire more time in nature—through the gear they create, the stories they tell, and the people they celebrate.
